I just spent the $40 on the Ethernet Adaptor for my Playstation 2 because I wanted to be able to play "Burnout 3: Takedown" online.

Well, after installing the blasted thing, digging my TV out, and getting all the crap configured, set up, ports opened, etc., I was ready to go... Or so I thought...

The game loaded, I went to "Online", loaded my configuration settings, and waited. The DNAS authentication passed, as did everything else, until it got to the "Connecting to EA Server" screen. It sat there for about 60 seconds, then a message came up: "Timed out connecting to server. Retry?"

I just spent 30 minutes wading through the FAQ and KB on the EA site for Burnout 3, and I found virtually nothing.

I'm not very happy now.

Does anyone know any other tricks using this adaptor? I considered slapping a hard drive in the beast, but I don't know much of what can or can't be done.
