I think the last time we had a good, soaking rain, it was a couple of months ago. Anything we've had since then has been just enough to make the ground a little wet.

Today, we were under a severe thunderstorm watch, but I really couldn't see why.

When I woke up around 9:00AM, it was in the mid-70's, and very windy. As the day went on, it got up into the upper-80's, and the wind continued. Sometime around 2:00PM, the humidity shot way up, but the temperature seemed to fall. Typically, when this happens, it ends up raining. Guess what... It didn't rain.

North of here about 10 miles, I believe it rained, and on the south side of town, it rained. Here, it just got chilly and wet feeling for a while, and warmed back up after everything passed.

Around 5:00, it looked like it was going to rain again, so I jumped in my truck to go see if it was actually raining where I thought it was. Turns out, it wasn't.

Around 7:00, it finally started raining. Unfortunately, the rain gauge is still very dry, and the grass barely got wet. Southeast of here, though, it poured down raining, and they had thunder and lightning. Now, it looks like we won't see any more rain for a few days, if at all.
