Yesterday, a friend gave me their old computer. When it got here to the house, Dad moved it into my room, but it was right in the middle of the floor.
I picked it up to move it, sticking one hand in the hole where the power supply goes, and grasping the little "shelf" on the front panel of the case to pick it up.
When I lifted, the metal on the case cut my finger really deep. I think it might have hit bone. If not, it came really close to it. It was just like someone took a razor blade and sliced my finger. The worst part, it is right in the middle of the first joint on my right index finger.
Right after I cut it, before it started bleeding too bad, I ran in the bathroom and ran cold water on it to wash it out. After that, I grabbed one of the washclothes out of the closet and wrapped it up to keep it from bleeding all over the place. About 20 minutes later, I pulled the cloth off of it and noticed that it had been ruined with blood, so I tossed that in the trash and got a bandage to put on it.
I think I ended up changing the bandage twice before I showered, then I put another one on after I got out of the shower. I changed it twice today, and I will change it again after I shower tonight.
The cut is literally bad enough for stiches, but I refunge to go to the hospital or doctor's office unless it gets to the point that it is REALLY serious. As of right now, it isn't bleeding anymore, and I have the cut pulled together with the bandage, which is just as good as stiches.
I don't have hardly any blood circulation in my hands at all, because of the frostbite I got when I was little, but this finger now is really cold. Mom says it is one of the following causing that:
- The circulation got messed up worse
- The nerves got cut, so it just feels like it is cold
- I have the bandage too tight and it is cutting off what little circulation I have
If it gets worse, I'll head to the hospital in Lafayette. There's no way I will go to the hospital here in town... Friggin' band-aid clinic...

That spelling error was bad enough I consulted online dictionaries at first to see if it was just some weird synonym before deciding that Tim has lost a bit too much blood.

"Refunge" is a word like "confusticated". It isn't really a word. It is just a different word used to resemble the real word.
