I hate clipping my fingernails, let alone my thumbnails. I usually wait until they are fairly long before I cut them, because when I do, they splinter off for days and days.

I clipped my fingernails last weekend, but left my thumbnails alone. The other night, I realized that they were TOO long, and clipped them. Yesterday morning, I noticed that the skin underneath the nail had pulled away from the nail, and that it was quite tender. You'd think that it wouldn't hurt as bad today, but guess what... IT DOES!
