I just went to Wal-Mart to get some packing tape so I could mail a product that I'm getting a refund on. About 1/4 of the way there, my truck died.

I coasted into a parking lot to try and start it again, but it wouldn't fire. The fuel pump is working, the injector is working... The only thing I can't check is the spark system. It (the spark system) should be working, because I replaced all of it, except the spark plugs, within the last 6 months.

To add a bit of a twist to it, the computer (OBD system) reset itself. It should be throwing a code 34 for the EGR system, but it isn't. I only get a code 12 out of it.

So, after getting a neighbor to get mom to come tow me home, I got the truck home...and it fired right up when I got in the driveway.

Result? I'm not going to school this fall. I have to make at least a 30 minute drive twice a week, and that just won't work with an unreliable pile of shit.

Edit: I can't afford to fix my truck, let alone get a new vehicle. I'm totally fucked.
