• Yeah, egypt is definately NOT a big threat to american tourists. If you keep your head down and are polite etc, there should not be any problem. Bombs are going off everywhere Tim, no reason for you to stick your head in the sand. Some parts of New York are more dangerous (believe it or not) than Iraq...

Go, it will do you good! Don't forget to stop over in Amsterdam if you get the chance... :)

  • Dang. I'd go. Egypt is cool, and you don't often get a chance or reason to go.

  • Modular development is nice, especially if the modules are already coded. However, the issue lies within customer specifications. Nine times out of ten, the customer will want the website to do something other than what has already been developed.

If I were able to just piece together ready-made modules, I would, and it would save me time.

Additionally, security concerns arise when you use pre-built modules.

My code has been tested and tested and tested, and in 99% of the tests, it has passed every security audit thrown at it. I am very big on security, and I know the common entrypoints. Since I have such emphasis on security, I can use that as a selling point, and I don't have to worry about patching other modules later on.

  • Why spend months on a project when you can slam one together in no more than a day thanks to "off the shelf" components?

Time goes into writing modules. Once they are made you just piece them together. Production is the key. A "website a week" solution. What else could you want?

    Sean.

  • That's who this was about.

  • there was a professional poker player who did the same thing for 100,000

  • Whoa, I've been feeling kind of nauseous/winded lately too. But my back doesn't hurt. AND I AM NOT PREGNANT. And after band rehearsal last night my stomach was killing me. And it didn't help that it was like 1878263789456572 degrees in the band room.

  • I'm sure billy gates isn't scared at all, because GoogleOS isn't schedule for release until 2020. You can't boot off of google.com...yet.

  • Smart dude? WTF?!

I really hate people man. The last car we had today was at like 5:45. I got to the point where I sprayed the glass cleaner on her windshield, and as soon as I started spraying it she turned her wipers on! ARGH! I looked at Big Dude and said, "What a snot!"

  • i also work at the quik lube it really gets your blood pumping when people think there cars will just go right in w/o guidence. and on that note i hate when teenagers come in the dont have any respct for the people around them, this girl and must have been her boyfriend or somthing and wanted an oilchange. so we did the job and i told her the total, went to give her the change and she said whoops! in a dumbass blonde tone and dropped the change including bills on the floor. magically the coins stayied on the floor but the bills fell all the way down in the pit. so i calmly went down stairs, picked up the change, sighlently gave her the bird in major fury and properly gave her tha change and open the garage door so she could leave... man i was pissed.. i know how you fell !smart dude!

  • Crazy B-I-L Unit.

(Npe, my house wasn't hit by a tornado.)

  • The family forum has been down since Wednesday, I believe, because the brother-in-law unit broke the router. It'll be up before the end of the week, hopefully.

  • LoL? Was yours?

  • And I haven't been able to get to the family forum since Thursday.

But hey, at least your house wasn't levelled by a tornado over the weekend.

  • Well, an update... That same guy came back today and was one of the nicest people that's been in all week! Maybe he reads this here blog thing-a-ma-jiggy...
